I don't know if I ever post this song, but (re) post it anyway.

It feels so right singing this song at the moment. *hat off to Alanis for the heart-felt lyric* :)

I can be an asshole of the grandest kind
I can withhold like it's going out of style
I can be the moodiest baby and you've never met anyone
Who is as negative as I am sometimes

I am the wisest woman you've ever met.
I am the kindest soul with whom you've connected.
I have the bravest heart that you've ever seen
And you've never met anyone
Who's as positive as I am sometimes.

You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can't relate
And you're still here

I blame everyone else, not my own partaking
My passive-aggressiveness can be devastating
I'm terrified and mistrusting
And you've never met anyone as,
As closed down as I am sometimes.

You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can't relate
And you're still here

What I resist, persists, and speaks louder than I know
What I resist, you love, no matter how low or high I go

I'm the funniest woman that you've ever known
I'm the dullest woman that you've ever known
I'm the most gorgeous woman that you've ever known
And you've never met anyone
Who is as everything as I am sometimes

You see everything (you see everything), you see every part (you see every part )
You see all my light (you see all my light) and you love my dark (and you love my dark )
You dig everything (you dig everything) of which I'm ashamed (of which I'm ashamed)
There's not anything (there's not anything) to which you can't relate (to which you can't relate)
And you're still here

(You see everything, you see every part)
And you're still here
(You see all my light and you love my dark)
And you're still here
(You dig everything of which I'm ashamed)
(There's not anything to which you can't relate)
And you're still here...

Sengap Office...

Sengap means quite, dead, silence...

My big big big boss has already left two weeks ago.

It's only the eight of us now in the office. Before, there were more than forty workers. Eight people, consist of 4 project workers and 4 admin & finance. F&A people are quite and ga-asik people in here... hehe... There you can imagine, forty people making noise to eight people working silently. Except probably me and my boss... he's so talkative.

My big big boss will leave this Wednesday, means no budget anymore.

And my big boss will leave on Dec 31st, means the office is close.

Slán Irish Red Cross - Indonesia Delegation. I hope to visit Ireland someday Smile.

Gushy Mushy

Have you ever miss someone so badly that you probably cry at the moment you meet that person?

Uhuhuhu.. so mushy I know.

This is a weak of heart!!! I really wanna hate myself for being such a mushy girl. Gushy!!!

Especially because I know, he's there somewhere for some good reason.

I just feel left out. Or... maybe I just miss him.

F.. F.. F.. Fridayyyyy

First thing to note adalah saya libur hari ini.

So, here are some things I rarely do during workdays...
- Bangun telat :)

Ga lucu juga yaa kalo manggilnya, "I love you, my doggy dog" instead of "I love you, bunny"... agak miris kedengerannya... hahaha.

Anyways, I think it's cute to have nickname yaa. It mixes in some romantic spice, lights up your face and gives you butterflies in the stomach... it's just I don't get the idea, why animals?? Ouh, ada temen saya manggil pacarnya tarzan... hihihi. But when you get that special nickname, it doesn't sound ridiculous anymore :p.

- Maen music challenge sampe menang!!! Hold the highest score 825.766 dong...

Have a nice weekend people Big Smile

On the review

So, it's August already plus... it's Ramadan.

Probably it's too late to write some review on my new year's resolution, but let's do it anyway :).

1. Upgrade salary or get another job I enjoy.
Well, this one went pretty smoothly. I got promoted around May (or April ya?? forgot) and yeah... salary upgraded. But do I enjoy it?? I can't really answer this. Let's say I'm just doing my responsibilities.
I enjoy the people at work though. It's just that I keep questioning "what kind of humanity work am I doing in here?".

2. Save up money for master degree or crave up for scholarship
Dear God, please forgive me for forgetting this resolution in the early stage of this year. I guess I still have this procrastinator thingy, huhu. I missed Fulbright application, NAD application, blah blah. I didn't fill up any form until June. Lucky I got this angel coming into my life, supporting and encouraging me to go for this master degree pursuit. I finally filled up some forms and yeah... we'll see what fate brings.

3. Care more of my room.
I actually clean my room everyday... usually in the afternoon during weekends. Call me lazy?? No.. no.. the thing is that I share room with my lil sis, she wakes up laaaateee and looong after my departure to the office.
I plan to move out to my old room actually, but dudududu... weekdays are for work and weekends are for some snoozes, hehe... I'll move after lebaran probably.

4. Care more of my body and health.
Eat properly... checked, sleep well... checked. Attending yoga class... unchecked, go to gym... what do you expect?? Hehe...
I actually started jogging again for the last two months though not regularly. We'll start again right after lebaran.

5. Plan to stop being a procrastinator. No more last minute person, i'm gonna be a checklist young lady... wohoho, this is hard.
Based on the 4 points reviewed above, I don't think I achieve this point yaaa.

6. Be good to others.
I am good to others, I can say.

7. Find love.
Note that I have an angel (on point 2) and there's we now (on point 4).
I found love Smile.

Kita bertiga (sama satu temen lagi-cowo), ngambil spot lumayan pewe lah biar ga kecapean berdiri. Dan sumpah, saya ga duduk nempel-nempel apalagi mesra-mesraan.. kita milih denger ceramah di mesjid gitu yaa.

Denger ceramah...

Tiba-tiba dateng cowo nih, tampilannya anak PKS lah... kayanya sih penjaga mesjid ya.

Penjaga mesjid: "Ini suami istri bukan?"
Kita: *kaget* kenapa pak??
Penjaga mesjid: Tempat cewe bisa disebelah sana.
Saya: *langsung cabut*
Dia: *nyusul saya*
Temen kita: *ketawa*

Huhuhuhu... sial...

Cape banget de kalo niat baik gini jadi batal gara-gara dituduh khalwat.

Aihh...

Remember this quote from "The Pursuit of Happiness"?? Oh, I love Jaden Smith...

Christopher: Dad, you wanna hear something funny? There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!"

I think I'm about to choose a boat.

God has sent me more than two boats before, I guess.

I won't let myself drowned.

It's gonna be just an ordinary boat, no need to be so well furnished and big, but simply a comfy boat to sail in...

If it springs a leak... well, we can always fix it ya, or find another boat with more quality assured Big Smile

Indonesian football

Wew... yesterday was my first time watching Indonesian football match. It was Persiraja (Banda Aceh football club) vs PSP Padang. I am absolutely not a die-hard fan of football yaa, but then I volunteerily wanna try how it feels like watching it. Who knows I might have a football freak partner someday... ahahaha.

I went there with three friends; Alif, Irsal, and Rahmat. We got in the stadium on time, and chose comfortable zone to sit *it wasn't really confortable though*.

Here are some of my likes and dislikes about watching football match.

1. You can have a great time cheering your favorite team and booing the rival teams together with your buddies. That was fun... though I'm not actually a big fan of Persiraja.
2. There might be a handsome player to ngeceng at.. Wink

1. Stadium is heaven for smokers... a man who sat in front of me even smoked weeds, duhh... smells really awful.
2. I don't really know the rules. I should learn few of the basics yaaa.
3. Chaos might happen... yup, in Indo it might definitely happen especially because you can bribe the referees.

There... my dislikes are a lot more than my likes. So... I think I don't mind to watch it again, ONLY IF I have nothing else to do Tongue.

I thought... what?? I should write that!! haha... tapi well, I'll help her do that.

By the age umur 40 aja, anaknya baru 11 tahun boo.. means diumur 45, anak loe baru akan masuk SMA. Sedangkan finansial edan-edanan akan dikeluarkan pas anak masuk kuliah. Jadi, 60 tahun kayanya masa tua baru akan dimulai.

Well, make sense yaa... duhh, tapi 60 lama amat... lama sekali perjuangan kita menuju................... silahkan diisi de.

Bos saya bilang... "ichi, it takes only half an hour to do that. What takes you so long?? blah..."
Ichi dalam hati... "mata loe setengah jam"... hehe..

Sebenernya ga lama sih, cuma kalo loe ngarep report dari staf departemen sini... pasti jadi lelet. Jadi bukan salah saya... ahaha.. *blaming people instead of my own part-taking... baddddd ichi badddd!!*

Anyway, saya lupa bawa dompet... jadi ga makan siang. Mau ngutang ga enak. Untung bawa apel dan brownies sekotak. Though masih laper sih... orang Indonesia nih, ga kena nasi ga afdol.

Okay... have a great Monday then people.

Aceh Green??

I was talking with a friend about this Aceh Green last night, on the way home from my first debut singing on Aceh TV Surprise. For me, Aceh Green is a blurry concept made by current Aceh Governor, Irwandi Yusuf. We, Acehnese, never actually know about the concept. All I know is that there is a big billboard in the secondary artery road which written “The Development toward Aceh Green”. Well, there is a moratorium logging regulation supported by The Multi Donor Fund (MDF) through the World Bank, but that's for forest conservation in Ulu Masen and Leuser. What about other areas??Urban areas?? Rural areas??

I don’t want to protest much in here, but what is green anyway?? How green would the governor want Aceh to be??

Refer to the standard of land use planning, green associates with open green areas, gardens, parks filled with trees, and jungles. Moreover, if Aceh want to follow the fortunes of modernist urbanism… green means to find jungle and urban form entangled again, literally.

I guess we all agree that Aceh is a lush tropical place where nature has already provided its own “green”. Stephen Cairns, an Australian architect stated in his essay about urban jungle, that the twentieth-century anxiety around the urban jungle is already pre-figured in this part of the world. In North Sumatra, across the Malacca Strait from where Singapore now stands, was the city of Aceh, a place where the idea of the urban jungle full reign was allowed.

Before Cairns, Anthony Reid and Denys Lombard have actually mentioned about this urban jungle form in Aceh.

Sixteenth-century English traveler Captain John Davis was confused by his first sighting of the city: it was very spacious yet built in wood, so it was not visible from a distance and seemed to leak out across the countryside.

French Jesuit SJ Premare was also puzzled by the entanglement by the dwellings and jungle in Aceh. So much so that he could not see the city at all. He reported: imagine a forest of coconut trees, bamboos, pineapples, bananas, through the midst of which passes quite a beautiful river all covered with boats; put in this forest an incredible number of houses made of canes, reeds and bark, and arrange them in such a manner that they sometimes form streets, sometimes separate quarters; divide these various quarters by meadows and woods. Everything is neglected and natural, rustic and even a little wild. When one is at anchor one sees not a single vestige or appearance of a city, because the great trees along the shore hide its entire house.

(Both cited in Reid, 1980, The structure of cities in Southeast Asia, fifteenth to seventeenth centuries)

I don’t see Aceh (the terminology Aceh is actually used to describe the city of Kuta Radja, the so called Banda Aceh nowadays) the way Reid and Lombard had seen. I see Aceh as a mish mash of whatever… it has no figure and it seems to obey urbanism rules.

However, there is a dwelling I know in Aceh Besar with traditional concept of land use called Gampong Lubuk. I made observation and analyzed its spatial structure for my final project, of which I am sure, the findings are well known among Acehnese (especially for those who study architecture). The study showed that the spatial concept formed by physical characters of the settlement, indicates a division of land use; housing area is located in the middle of settlement called tumpok, public facility is located not far from the housing area called ujong, and farming area is located outside of the housing area called blang. There are some villages also in Aceh Pidie with similar spatial structure as Gampong Lubuk, which strengthen the idea that Acehnese actually has the urban/rural jungle spatial concept already, the Aceh Green.

We have all the concept... There are already lots of recommendations for spatial planning in Aceh, that it is important for people/institutions involved in spatial planning to acknowledge the spatial concept of Aceh through history and traditional values.

What Aceh really need is a real action of the concept itself.

Now... big question for me!!! What can I do?? I have betrayed my academic background... cry

Oh, about my singing debut… it was crap!! I’m not singing anymore…
